CoLab Worcs - Forest Therapy

Categories

Community and Home Support, Loneliness, Health and Wellbeing

Description

We offer Forest Therapy, rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing). This is guided, slow time in nature. Not exercise. Not mindfulness as a productivity hack. Just you, the outside world, and a series of gentle invitations to pay attention. The research is compelling: time in nature lowers cortisol, eases anxiety, and reconnects us to a sense of belonging in the world. But you don't need to know any of that. You just need to be willing to show up. Our sessions are small, unhurried, and led by Leisa — a qualified practitioner dedicated to guiding people back to the more-than-human world. Whether you're dealing with stress, disconnection, or just a persistent feeling that something is missing, this might be it.

Description

The Feeding Trust is a charity dedicated to improving the health and life chances of children with developmental feeding difficulties, particularly those with medical and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The UK is making important progress in improving children’s diets through school food, Early Years programmes and national policy initiatives. However, a critical gap remains: Many children, particularly those with SEND, are not able to access or benefit from improved food provision. The Feeding Trust provides the Eating as Learning (EaL) Framework and Curriculum, an inclusive approach to teaching feeding skills through practical food education. Developed with parents, educators and healthcare professionals, EaL supports schools to build children’s feeding skills while strengthening collaboration between education, health care and families. EaL is delivered via: - School / early years training, inclusive food-based education and activities. - Parent coaching, education and community outreach. - Online resources, advice and support
